An anthem to versatility

Carlo Ramello's only  passion is to create versatile garments made of fur. In the hands of this clever Italian designer, premium materials like mink, chinchilla and sable are transformed into fashionably modern, highly sought after works of art.

The man from Italy runs several boutiques, one in Andorra, another in Monaco and the third in Moscow.

All carry his trademark pret-àporter (ready to wear) collections as well as his haute couture line ‘JAP. Fur couture by Carlo Ramello’, which he created in collaboration with Russian designer Jana Podlesezkij.

The core characteristic of his fashion is its versatility. Removable parts, including bindings and belts as well as adjustable collars are among a whole range of stylish tricks that bring to his garments this unique look-and-feel.

Take for example one of his pieces, an impossibly soft, rich burgundy-tinted mink coat which perfectly reflects this versatility. It comes with a range of different zippers that allow the wearer to convert the short coat into a waistcoat and the waistcoat into a Bolero jacket. As a result, the fashionista always has the right accessory immediately to hand, regardless of whether the coat is supposed to be casual wear or smart evening attire. It is an approach that sets him apart from other designers. In addition to this, many of Ramello's coats are reversible and can be worn on both sides. This way, an original black coat with grey collar easily changes in colour. Only one fur garment offers its wearer a variety of outfits adoptable to any occasion. And it all perfectly corresponds to Ramello's leitmotif an anthem to versatility.
